The City of Stockton is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to construct a new dog pound building in the area of 421 N 4th Street, Stockton, MO.

Proposals must be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. Central Time on February 20, 2026. Submissions may be sent by mail to PO Box 590, Stockton, MO 65785, hand-delivered, or sent via certified mail to 1424 South St., Stockton, MO 65785.

Bid opening and tabulation will take place at the next regular Council meeting, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at City Hall located at 1424 South St., Stockton, MO.

Lead Service Line Survey

Here to comply with EPA regulations, our public water system is conducting a lead service line inventory. In performing this inventory, Stockton water needs to know the material composition of all lines-both those owned by the water system and those privately owned. More information on the EPA's regulations related to the inventory can be found at https://www.epa.gov/ground-water-and-drinking-water/revised-lead-and-copper-rule.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR LEGAL SERVICES:

The City of Stockton is soliciting proposals for the position of City Attorney. Qualified candidates must be an attorney or firm licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and in good standing with the Missouri Bar Association. Proposal specifications can be obtained at City Hall, 1424 South St or by contacting Mayor Cahill at 417-276-5210.  Sealed proposals should be submitted to City Hall, Attn: Mayor Cahill, PO Box 590, Stockton, MO 65785 or delivered in person. Mon-Fri 8-4. Please mark envelope “Legal Services 2026-27”. Deadline will be Friday, February 13, 2026, at 4 p.m. to submit RFQ. Mayor Cahill will ask Council to approve his appointment on Monday, February 23, 2026, during the regular session meeting at City Hall, 1424 South Street, Stockton, Missouri at 4:30 p.m.
